An artificer of the Italian police was badly injured a hand and an eye, has indicated Sunday 1st January the police chief of Florence, Alberto Initmi, questioned by the channel RaiNews24. The object, which had attracted the attention of a police patrol early Sunday morning, stood in front of the entrance of a bookstore close to the far-right organisation of the Italian Casa Pound.
The artificers were immediately called to the scene, and it is at the moment where they approached the storefront of the bookstore, located in the historic centre of the tuscan capital, that the explosion took place, according to investigators quoted by the Italian agency Agi. The spacecraft was equipped with a trigger system and a delayed, according to the sources. Apart from the wounded officer, the explosion did no damage.
Casa Pound was born in Rome in 2003, after the occupation of a building by activists of the extreme right. The movement today comprises several hundred members who regularly demonstrate against the european Union and immigration.
