Toyota : the hybrid will account for 60 % of sales in France in 2017

Toyota : l'hybride représentera 60 % des ventes en France en 2017

Toyota does not steal his title of king of the hybrid. Last year, half its cars sold in france combined gasoline and electricity. This is a record for a generic brand, which shows that we can survive by way of diesel.

The balance of sales in 2016 has been marked by the decline of the diesel. If the sales of vehicles that run on diesel fuel, has declined since 2012, the drop has really accelerated in the last few months. Last year, the market share of diesel has fallen to 52 %.

But a constructor is not afraid of this disenchantment : Toyota, which is already well below that level. In the presentation of its results in 2016, the japanese shows that only 15% of its registrations of passenger cars in France were cars badged D-4D. You can imagine the result : a predominance of the hybrid in the sales of the firm. The association gasoline-electricity accounted for 50 % of deliveries. This was only 10 % in 2011.

85 % of the Auris are hybrids

54 % of the Yaris registered in france combine two engines. For theAuris, the hybrid is chosen in 85 % of orders ! And Toyota already foresees that the hybrid will represent in 2017, 60 % of its sales in us, thanks to the arrival of the crossover C-HR.

In 2016, Toyota has delivered in France 77 696 cars, up 8.3 % compared to 2015. A beautiful performance in a market with a growth of 5.1 %, which proves that you can maintain a good place in the Hexagon by way of diesel. The japanese should make the dead end on the diesel fuel in the years to come, as is already the case for its subsidiary, top of the range Lexus.
