A man of north african origin was attacked Thursday evening with a kitchen knife a soldier and a police officer at the central station of Milan, in northern Italy. A spokesman for the police, “at this stage”, ruled out the hypothesis of a terrorist attack.
The two victims were hospitalized, one for an arm injury and the other for a neck injury. None, however, is in a state of “concern”, reported the newspaper La Repubblica and Corriere della sera.
The suspect was arrested by the police. He committed the assault during an identity control. This man born in 1996 in Milan had already been arrested in the past for drug-related criminal offences. (tty/nxp)
