Olympique Lyonnais has just confirmed the signing of brazilian defender Fernando Marçal. The ex-Guingampais sign for four years.
As the Goal was announced a little earlier this Thursday, the Olympique Lyonnais has reached the arrival in its ranks of the Brazilian Fernando Marçal. Compared to an amount of€ 4.5 Million paid to his former club Benfica, the left side joined the team of Bruno Genésio. The duration of the commitment is four years.
20-year-old, Marçal had been one of the major revelations of the last year of the League 1. On loan to Guingamp, he had multiplied the performance of high-class up to type in the eye of many big clubs. At the end of the season, the requests have poured in, and so it is the OL that has shown the most persuasive and has managed to enlist.
On their official website of the club, Florian Maurice, the head of recruitment, has greatly welcomed this arrival : “Marçal is a player very interesting, an advocate for comprehensive, technical, and able to bring a lot on the plan offensive. It has also been one of the best passers in ligue 1 last year. It is a great satisfaction that Marçal chose Olympique Lyonnais due to the numerous solicitations which he was the object”.
By rallying the Rhone, Marçal reactive the brazilian subsidiary of theOL. It will be the 11th player from that country to play for the Gônes and the first since the departure of Cris in 2012.
