LG G6+ : more powerful, but a bit disappointing

LG just announced the LG G6+, a variant that is slightly more powerful than the original model. Unfortunately, the changes remain minimal.

At the Mobile World Congress, LG unveiled its G6, a very good smartphone whose main fault was not to be equipped with a processor of the latest generation. Private of the Snapdragon 835, the manufacturer south Korean has been forced to fall back on the Snapdragon 821, a chip quality, but is now pale, in particular concerning its energy consumption. With the variant G6, More ” of the phone waited for a few weeks, we could expect a change at this level.

The S821 is always in the limelight

Unfortunately, the LG G6+ is to be formalized and it carries, not the latest SoC of Qualcomm. In fact, this variant of the LG G6 resumes in the outline of the technical specifications of its ” predecessor “, namely a screen QHD+ with a 5.7 inch format 18:9, a Snapdragon cpu 821, a dual-sensor 13-Megapixel camera on the back, another 5-Megapixel on the front and a battery of 3,300 mAh.

Finally, the software part is always provided by Android 7.0 Nougat coupled with LG UX 6.0. No change, therefore, from this side either.

More memory

What is the difference you ask ? The memory. Where most manufacturers do not bother with forms and provide regular versions of the same model with more or less ram and storage memory, LG has decided to give it a little appealing name to its superior model.

As well, the LG G6+ is equipped with 6 Gb of RAM and 128 Gb of storage instead of 4 Gb of RAM and 64 Gb of memory.

A smartphone all the options ?

It would also seem that the LG G6+ is equipped with the quad-DAC Hi-Fi this on the asian version of the LG G6, even that of the wireless charging of the american model. It is not clear however, whether these two elements should be present everywhere in the world.

Prices and markets are unknown

For the moment, the LG G6+ has been announced that, in South Korea, but LG has promised a marketing on other markets around the world. We don’t know yet its price or the markets concerned.
